According to SDNA (h/t Nottinghamshire Live), Gil Dias could be on his way out of Nottingham Forest after an unsuccessful spell on loan from AS Monaco. The 22-year-old has made 24 appearances in all competitions for Forest this season, scoring and creating just two goals.

Dias hasn’t managed a goal or assist in the Championship and has lost his place in the starting lineup as a result. The Portuguese u21 international has amassed just 24 minutes of playing time in the last five weeks, having been left out of the matchday squad on two occasions and being an unused substitute on three occasions.

Matty Cash and Joe Lolley are ahead of Dias in the pecking order which could spell the end of the winger’s time at the City Ground. If his loan is cancelled, Olympiacos could make a move in January, but new manager Martin O’Neill wants some to time to check out his players.

With Forest linked with a move for Stoke City’s James McClean, the Reds may have already identified a replacement for the out-of-form winger. Movement should be made before the January transfer window shuts.
