According to Sports DNA, Olympiacos are keen on signing Gil Dias and Sport Witness say they’re happy to wait until deadline day if neccessary. The 22-year-old joined Nottingham Forest on loan from AS Monaco over the summer but has struggled for form, which may see his deal at the City Ground terminated so he can negotiate a permanent move elsewhere.

Dias has made 20 Championship appearances for the Reds this season and is yet to register a goal or assist. The Portuguese winger has recently lost his place in the first-team as a result of his struggles and may be open to a fresh start at another club. Fans are certainly hoping he departs.

He’s amassed only seven minutes of league football in more than a month and has been left out of the matchday squad in two of Forest’s last three games. Ten of Dias’s 20 appearances have come from the bench, and he’s found himself substituted in eight of the remaining 10.

New manager Martin O’Neill may choose Joe Lolley and Matty Cash to start on the wing for Forest, meaning there’s no place in the side for Dias. If the Reds can find a replacement, they may let the loanee leave and pursue a move to Olympiacos.

Given Forest and the Greek club have a tight relationship due to Evangelos Marinakis, Dias could well be on his way out of the Midlands.
