I don’t think I’ve seen fans quite this excited about losing a player in such a long time.
But obviously they saw the money that was being reported, and felt it was better just to cut ties and make everything a lot smoother going forward.
According to a report from the PA News Agency (via Sportmole), Sheffield United are in the process of paying in the region of £1m for 26-year-old left-back Jack Robinson. The player started off the season as the team’s first-choice left-back, but he has found time hard to come by over the past few months, with the likes of Yuri Ribeiro and Chema taking his place at the back in recent weeks.
And that’s perhaps ones of the reasons that Nottingham Forest fans didn’t seem all that disappointed at the prospect of losing him, as they have his position pretty much covered. And when you factor into the equation that he only has six months left on his contract, getting rid of him now seems like pretty good business.
Money talks. Million pound for a player with 6 months of his contract left. Definitely bite their hands off.

That is a fantastic deal for someone out of contract soon and who’s confidence is totally gone. He currently looks like a beaten man who is afraid to keep and pass the ball.

Good deal all round. He’s been the weak link in the back 4 when he’s played IMHO #nffc

Great deal for us
Hope they clap loud enough to keep him awake during games— 🔊 𝘼𝙧𝙘𝙝 (@Def_MaybeDaz) January 20, 2020
Great business with Robinson to get the reported £1m when we picked him up on a free and he’s out of contract in 5-6 months. Did a solid job for us when called upon but a few shaky moments at left back further supports the deal #nffc

Getting 1m for Robinson who out of contract in 6-months and did not cost us anything is a good bit of business #nffc

Pleased with that he’s a liability and makes rash decisions and tackles leading to stupid bookings. Signed on a free 6 months left on his contract sold for a reported 1 million, good business all round ⭐️⭐️

He’s not good enough for premiership football and neither is Osborn 😂 who ever is recommending these players to Sheff Utd needs sacking

How many signings will Forest make this window?
1-3
4+
Question is now, who else are they going to spend the money on?
