Nottingham Forest are interested in signing striker Lyle Taylor in the summer, journalist Alan Nixon has reported.
Taylor is currently a free agent after leaving Forest’s Championship rivals Charlton at the end of June, having elected not to sign a new contract until the rescheduled end of the season, citing the risk of injury before a potential move in the summer transfer window as the reason behind that.
Prior to his departure from Charlton, Taylor had scored 11 goals in 22 Championship appearances this season for the Addicks, something which appears to have caught the attention of those at The City Ground.
Would you take Lyle Taylor at Forest?YesNo |
According to Nixon’s latest update, Forest have already opened talks with Taylor about a potential move, and are keen to bring the striker to the club regardless of whether or not they win promotion to the Premier League this season.
Forest. Want Lyle Taylor. Free. Talks have begun. Keen on him for either division. Not done yet but ideal for what Lamouchi wants.

The prospect of the signing of Taylor is one that has clearly caught the imagination of plenty of Forest, with many keen to give their opinion as they took to Twitter to react to those reports about the striker.
Here, we take a look at what some of those supporters had to say.
That would give us another option other than Grabban up front on his own ⭐️⭐️

Interesting, can’t see him getting in ahead of Grabbs.
Wouldn’t deserve to either.
And can’t see either happy playing second fiddle to eachother?— DNOnMAZ9 (@DNOnMAZ9) July 12, 2020
He’s basically a carbon copy of Grabban tbf, just not as good (I say this like it’s a bad thing, Grabbs is one of the best in the league) – he’d be a useful addition, just not sure on his attitude after how he shafted Charlton

Fits our system perfectly would be a quality addition

I’d take that definitely. Can’t see him getting in over Grabban and quite frankly looking at what Grabbs has done for us he wouldn’t deserve to get in over him either. But would definitely be a useful addition and a different option to have. Saw him at Charlton. Real handful

Good player. Gave best individual performance by a player this season at forest. Lead the line well good in the air and a constant threat. Very good championship player. ##

He’s a real handful whenever I’ve seen him play. Don’t get many better free transfers if Forest can get him.

we need 40 goals from strikers not 20.
