I’ll be brutally honest, I keep forgetting that he’s still with us on occasion, and this weekend was another example of that.
I’m talking of course about Carl Jenkinson, making only his 6th appearance in the league this season having spent a large part of it out with an injury, the 28-year-old right-back put in a solid performance against Preston North End at the weekend. With a pass completion rate of 83%, one aerial duel one and an overall rating of 7.0 (4th best among Forest players).
Not enough to suggest that he should be a permanent replacement for Matty Cash in the side, but enough for us to think that if Cash can’t make a game for whatever reason, we won’t be too hard done by.
Should Carl Jenkinson be kept beyond the summer?
Yes
No
So when the Nottingham Forest Twitter feed asked fans for their comments on his display, it was no surprise to see plenty of positive comments come his way.

Played well, he was very solid. Not as dynamic going forward as Cash is but very few full backs are.

What about you? What did you make of Jenkinson’s performance?
