Looks like a few people have been playing too much Football Manager over Christmas.
Actually, that’s probably a little bit hypocritical of me considering that I do spend a lot of time trying to do exactly the same, but let’s not let that get in the way of a good story.
In the aftermath of Forest’s victory over Wigan Athletic, a game in which they were thoroughly dominated losing 64% to 36% in terms of possession, 14 to 9 in terms of total shots, 4 to 2 with shots on target and 13 corners to 2, boss Sabri Lamouchi spoke about how things are going to have to change at the club. He said that “If we play like this at home, we will not win all the time. We need to find a different way for the next game.”
And his comments laid the opportunity for a number of Forest fans to try and give their views on the subject, and many of them took the opportunity to call for the Reds to be more attacking when they are playing at home.
Sensible but Sabri can’t keep making selection mistakes. We’re too defensive at home, start too slowly and have no width. We allow the opposition time to settle. We also have alot of similar players and so can’t change things enough. Away form though is phenomenal. Window vital.

It’s taken a long time to realise what supporters have known for weeks.

Least he can see the problems at home.

Spot on boss. Make it happen. 28,000 people deserve it.

It’s called don’t start with two defensive midfielders, 1 winger and players out of position against bottom of the league! Attacking line up needed Wednesday

Maybe drop one of the three defensive, holding midfielders 👍

Try not starting 2 CDM’s which neither are good enough. One is past it and the other had potential but if he wasn’t an academy player wouldn’t get close.

Well for starters play with two strikers, and Lolley wide left with Cash wide right wing, and where has the passing ball to feet play gone? It also helps if they move and find space to create a pass, it was abysmal today but we won, just!

Stop playing 3 DM’s and stop playing Carvalho on the wing. Solved it for you 😊

Do Forest need to start being more attacking?
Yes
No
Not to try and claim I’m ahead of the curve on this, but I have been saying this for some time now. I’m just glad more people have cottoned onto the whole thing.
