So what’s your main takeaway after a game like that?
Are you positive that we managed to rescue a point against the league’s seemingly runaway leaders? Are you negative that we haven’t been able to make up as much space on second-placed Leeds United as we could? Or are you furious that we weren’t given a fair chance at winning after some, let’s just call them questionable decisions?
I’m never one to blame a defeat solely on a referee, there’s far too much that goes on in a game to put it down to just one man, but I think on a day like today, I’m going to make an exception. I think Darren Fletcher’s comments on the matter really summed up today better than I ever could.
This is why in the aftermath of the game, there was only one man’s name on the minds of Forest fans, and it wasn’t anyone that was wearing a Garibaldi or blue and white shirt today, with attention focused purely on the man in black.

Is a top two spot realistic for Forest?
Yes
No
Let’s just hope we don’t have to use referees as an excuse further down the line, let’s just win games instead.
