Sheffield United have had a £10million bid for Nottingham Forest defender Matty Cash rejected, a report from The Daily Telegraph has claimed.
Following Forest’s failure to win promotion to the Premier League this season, Cash looks to be a man in demand, as top-flight clubs battle to secure his services.
According to the latest reports, Sheffield United have seen a £10million bid for Cash rejected by Forest, with Southampton and West Ham both also said to be keen on a move for the versatile right-back.
It is thought that Forest themselves want at least £15million for Cash, who has three years remaining on his contract with the club, securing his future at The City Ground until the end of the 2022/23 season.
Taking to Twitter to react to news of Sheffield United’s rejected bid, plenty of Forest fans seem far from impressed with the size of the Blades’ opening offer.

Double the amount and we can talk. If Burke snatched 16 he’s worth 18-20 at a minimum.

The moment @mattycash622 signs for a PL club, before even kicking a ball his value would be £30m. This is a guy who should be playing at the very top level, but we can’t be getting shafted like we were for Antonio. We need to keep him if we’re serious about pushing for PL.
