Some Nottingham Forest fans have been looking back on our 4-0 victory against West Ham United.

Villa Park was the venue for our third FA Cup semi-final in four years after defeats against Liverpool in 1988 and 1989 respectively. But on this occasion, we reached Wembley for the first time in the competition since 1959.

The afternoon belonged to us. Goals from Gary Crosby, Roy Keane, Stuart Pearce and Gary Charles ensured that we comfortably beat the Hammers.

Was this one of best results of the 1990s?

No

No

With this in mind, we weren’t able to pick up the famous trophy under the twin towers as we lost 2-1 to Tottenham after extra time.

As a result, supporters enjoyed the club’s coverage and made their feelings clear about the afternoon’s proceedings on social media. One fan said that he remembers the game well, while others praised the team and described the game as a whole as “cracking”.
