It’s one of those results that you can’t really read that much into.
It more or less seals our place in the playoffs, so there’s the positive of that. But at the same time if we are struggling to beat a team that is below us in the table, especially at this late stage when you need form heading into said playoffs, it just leaves that little tinge of disappointment.
And we won’t really know the full impact of it until the end of the playoffs.
Forest drew with fellow promotion hopefuls Swansea City at the City Ground this evening. Two goals from Sammy Ameobi made us come from behind twice in this fixture, in a game that probably meant more to the visitors as they look up the table than it did to us potentially looking down.
Which is why Forest fans didn’t really lean wither way when the reuslt came in. Not exactly over the moon, but not feeling dejected either.
