Plenty of Nottingham Forest fans have been reacting to a recent post on Oliver Burke’s Instagram page, highlighting the connection he still has to the club.

Having graduated from Forest’s academy in 2014, Burke left the club to join RB Leipzig in Germany in 2016, before returning to England with West Brom in 2017.

Things have not exactly gone to plan for Burke during his time at The Hawthorns, with the midfielder making just a handful of appearances for the Baggies before spending the last season-and-a-half out on loan at Celtic and Alaves.

It was recently reported by The Telegraph that West Brom will look to sell Burke ahead of their return to the Premier League.

Now it seems as though Burke himself may be looking to stoke some speculation about his future, after posting an image of himself on Instagram alongside current Forest defender Matty Cash – himself the subject of much speculation this summer – along with the words “no caption needed”.

Responding to that post, it seems plenty of Forest fans would like to see a return to The City Ground for Burke next season, with many of the club’s supporters urging him to do exactly that for this next move.

Here, we take a look at what some of them had to say.
