There’s two ways to think about this.
First off, it’s great to see them getting some form of recognition for what they’ve done. Secondly, given the ‘Manager of the Month curse’ and the fact we’re playing arguably the biggest game of the season up to this point on Saturday against Leeds United, it couldn’t have come at a worse time.
Which side of the debate do you fall on?
It was announced this morning that Nottingham Forest’s Sabri Lamouchi and Joe Lolley had been nominated for the Sky Bet manager and player of the month respectively. With Lamouchi guiding the club through an undefeated stretch in the league and Lolley grabbing four goals and two assists since the turn of the year, it’s probably no surprise that they find themselves in this position.
So when the news came through that they were nominated for their respective honours, it looks as if Forest fans fell on the side of ‘curse’ when it comes to the award, as they were adamant that they wanted nothing to do with the award.
We all know what happened last time Sabri won this 😏 No thanks – give it jointly to Bielsa and Bilic please! #coyrs #nffc

One fan may have taken things a little too far though.
Hope Sabri Punches a ball boy or something so his nomination is rescinded! 😜#WeDontNeedAnAward

Will Lolley be able to keep up this form for the rest of the season?
Yes
No
I want to know your thoughts. Do you think it’s a blessing or a ‘curse’ for these to come through, especially at this time of the season.
