Well, now it’s official.
Adlène Guédioura has left the club for Qatari side Al Gharafa. We sort of knew this was coming, given that he was set for a medical the other day. Guédioura has had a few niggles in his career, so there was always the potential for something to come along and put the move in jeopardy.
However, nothing came of it and Nottingham Forest yesterday confirmed that the deal had gone through by releasing a short statement on the website. Much as they were when the reports of him moving first kicked in, Forest fans took to Twitter to express how they felt now that the move had gone through, and it’s safe to say that their mood hadn’t changed.

However, there were a number of Forest fans who spotted something rather peculiar in the club’s statement.
Interesting It don't say good luck with your future endeavours

No ‘wish him well’ tells you all you need to know. So glad he’s gone don’t need bad apples. Good riddance. ????

And no “thanks for everything you’ve done for the team” either……speaks volumes

Now read into that what you will, like the fans above have done. It is a little bit strange that the club didn’t wish him well in his departure. Does that give an indication as to what the relationship was like between him and the club behind the scenes?
