I’ve seen some weird articles in my time, but this one is right at the top of that list.
Writing in his usual column for Nottinghamshire Live, Kenny Burns spoke about one of Forest’s goal scorers from Friday night Lewis Grabban, although he managed to find a few rather bizarre flaws in his performance.
“I’m also going to criticise Lewis Grabban a little bit and I know it’s going to raise eyebrows. I thought he was excellent against Stoke in many ways and it was great to see him get another goal. If anything, he worked too hard. I know it sounds crazy bearing in mind what I said about him after the first game of the season, but there is not much point chasing down players on your own. The gap between midfield and attack was massive at Stoke, so he was running himself into the ground for no reason.”
And let’s just say that Nottingham Forest fans weren’t exactly too thrilled with what they read as they tore into Burns for his comments.
His columns not even worth reading anymore. Just a bitter old has been, who cries when he doesn't get his own way

One minute he’s too lazy, next he’s working too hard – oh and a pop at Joao as well. Almost like those players fell out with his mate…#nffc

Pathetic. Utterly pathetic. You’re giving the platform so someone can spout nonsense and try and cause unrest. Horrible.

I wonder if burns realizes how despised he is at the moment

Stop giving him a voice! If he’s on a contract. Set up a justgiving page and we can pay him off to go now! #FreeTheBurnsOne

Burns spoke earlier in the summer that Forest needed to look into possibly selling Lewis Grabban, so perhaps he’s trying to find a reason to justify his claims from back then, but even so, it’s a rather weird statement to make.
