Predicted: Sabri Lamouchi could make two changes for Nottingham Forest’s clash with Blackburn

|

Sabri Lamouchi could make two changes ahead of Tuesday’s meeting with Blackburn Rovers, with Michael Dawson and Jack Robinson likely to be replaced.

Dawson picked up a calf injury for Nottingham Forest against Stoke City on Friday and was substituted for Chema Rodriguez. The 27-year-old could now start at centre-back alongside Joe Worrall. Tobias Figueiredo may also be in contention, however.

At left-back, Robinson could make way for Yuri Ribeiro. The 26-year-old isn’t struggling with an injury, but he doesn’t have the dynamism of his younger teammate and could benefit from a break rather than playing three games in a week – Arsenal (September 24), Stoke City (September 27), Blackburn (October 1).

Brice Samba should get the nod over Arijanet Muric in goal, Matty Cash has impressed at right-back and should keep his place, and Joe Worrall should continue at centre-back with a new partner.

Sow and Watson have been regulars in midfield and should continue their partnership against Blackburn. Sammy Ameobi & Joe Lolley both scored against Stoke and should keep their place on the left & right wing respectively.

Joao Carvalho isn’t guaranteed a start after Tiago Silva replaced the 22-year-old after an hour against Stoke and made an assist. Lamouchi has a decision to make in midfield as a result. Lewis Grabban has contributed five goals this season and should lead the line.

Predicted XI: Samba; Cash, Worrall, Chema, Ribeiro; Watson, Sow; Lolley, Carvalho, Ameobi; Grabban.
