Alexander Milosevic has left Nottingham Forest by mutual consent after falling down the pecking order under Sabri Lamouchi, but the 27-year-old could be followed by Michael Hefele among others. The German centre-back is still recovering from an achilles injury and hasn’t played a single game for Forest in nearly ten months.
With Joe Worrall, Michael Dawson, Tobias Figueiredo and Chema Rodriguez ahead of him in the pecking order, it’s hard to see Hefele having a future at the City Ground. The 29-year-old has made 18 appearances since joining Forest on a free transfer from Huddersfield Town, but his last outing came against Leeds United on January 1, 2019.
Hefele contract expires in the summer of 2021, but it wouldn’t be a shock to see him leave Forest early when he’s returned to full fitness. Like with Milosevic, he can’t afford to stay on the periphery and never get minutes in the first-team. Lamouchi is also unlikely to bring in the outcast from the cold when he has four players at his disposal.
Hefele is nearing a recovery, so Forest could look to move on when he’s back.
