I think this might be taking the praise a little bit too far.
Or not, depending on how youβve viewed the previous left-backs that the club have had down the years, but Iβll leave that debate up to you.
Yuri Ribeiro has certainly become a key figure for Nottingham Forest this season. Having arrived in the summer, he had a few struggles in tying down a place in the first-team to begin with, but has really made the left-back position his own in recent weeks and heβs been incredibly valuable to the team, leading them in terms of fouls drawn per game and 3rd in terms of dribbles.
Is Yuri the best left-back since Stuart Pearce?
Yes
No
So when the left-back posted a message on his Twitter page in the aftermath of the game against Cardiff, he was flooded with praise from a number of Nottingham Forest for his performance not just on the night but throughout the season as well. Indeed there were a few fans who thought he could arguably be one of the best to play the position at the City Ground for quite a long time.

Do you think thatβs a fair assessment, or going a step too far?
