Official: Nottingham Forest confirm 10th departure this summer, Premier League awaits him

Nottingham Forest confirmed that Ben Osborn has joined Sheffield United on a three-year deal. The Blades have monitored Osborn’s progress throughout the summer and were initially unsuccessful with their £3m opening bid. Forest accepted the follow up offer which is believed to be around the £4m mark, and Osborn was confirmed a United player after passing his medical.
The 24-year-old made 230 appearances in all competitions, scoring and creating 47 goals. Osborn was a terrific servant for Forest, having graduated from the Nigel Doughty Academy to become an ever-present in the first-team. His form spiralled during the tail-end of last season, however, which raised uncertainty over his future at the City Ground.
Forest were being linked with a host of wingers over the summer and eventually brought in Sammy Ameobi & Albert Adomah. The Reds have also given Arvin Appiah & Brennan Johnson plenty of opportunities in pre-season, so Osborn’s departure won’t harm the squad. Sabri Lamouchi will have the aforementioned quartet in addition to Joe Lolley & Matty Cash.
