I think this says a lot about how Forest have handled themselves over the past, well nearly two decades, that it’s been so long since we’ve been able to celebrate an achievement like this.
And it probably goes to show why things haven’t gone as well as they could have done in that time span.
There was a little bit of history made at Deepdale yesterday, as forward Lewis Grabban became the first player to score 20 goals in a season for us since the 2002/03 season, when David Johnson and Marlon Harewood broke the barrier.
It’s also the first time that Grabban has hit 20 in a league campaign since he hit 22 back in 2013/14, and with three games to go, I wouldn’t put it past him breaking that mark too.
Do Nottingham Forest need to sign backup for Lewis Grabban in the summer?
Yes
No
But with this milestone in the bag, there were plenty of Forest fans on social media on hand to congratulate him on his incredible achievement.

He feeds off scraps to be fair. 20 goals is fantastic. Great striker. ❤🌲

Absolutely brilliant. Distinct lack of service in so many games this season and yet still hits 20. More to come as well 😉🔴⚪️

Thank you @grabbs22 for your commitment, desire & dedication you’ve invested into our team since you’ve joined. Critics aside, 20 goals sees them proved wrong, including me. 👏🏿 Onwards & upwwards for this season & I hope for the rest of your career.

What about you? What do you make of Grabban’s accomplishment this season?
