Well looks like the goodwill of Friday night has well and truly gone.
All it takes is one goal to make fans think that the world is suddenly falling apart once again. Boy it’s good to have football back isn’t it?
Forest were held to a 1-1 draw away at Sheffield Wednesday in our first game back of the Championship season, in a game that we looked to have won after Joe Lolley’s goal had given us the lead, and despite our attempts to find that second goal, it just sadly didn’t come, and we were made to pay for it when Connor Wickham found the back of the net in injury time.
Speaking after the game, Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi seemed to be more than happy to take a draw in the club’s first game back, saying that:
“We were close to a perfect start, but not enough. I am upset for them as to finish with this result would have been fantastic, with the draw it is not so bad but now we have to think about the next one.”
Were you happy with that result?
Yes
No
Which is a sentiment that wasn’t necessarily felt by the Forest fans on social media.
Use the talent at your disposal correctly and a lucky last min goal wouldn't be a concern because you'd have a 2 or 3 goal buffer
Joao and Bostock are game winners unleash them along with our pacey youngsters!— 𝙽𝚎𝚠 𝚂𝚝𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚌 𝙼𝚞𝚜𝚒𝚌 ▶️ Arch (@Def_MaybeDaz) June 20, 2020

You keep picking garbage players over the talent you leave on the bench, we will be lucky to make the playoffs!

very little creativity again to secure goals and just loose possession easily

don’t know what game you were watching mate, they haven’t played in 3 months and they played great, no team really deserved the win and everyone would take a draw if it wasn’t for the circumstance

What about you? What do you make of Lamouchi’s comments?
