An OK performance.
Not exactly good enough that we should start considering putting him in the first-team on a regular basis, but enough to know that he can at least offer us something when we need him.
I’m talking of course about Brennan Johnson.
One of the big shocks of the game on Saturday against Sheffield Wednesday was the sight of the 19-year-old in the starting line-up, giving him just his first league start of his career having previously made a couple of substitute appearances in the league as well as a few starts in the EFL Cup.
Taking a look at his numbers from the game, he gave a reasonable account of himself. Completing two dribbles, winning two aerial duels and getting a shot away for an overall rating of 6.8. Certainly not the best rating of a Forest player that day, but far from the worst either.
Should Brennan Johnson get more minutes?
Yes
No
And it seems as though Forest fans were rather happy with his display on the day. When the club’s Twitter feed put out this tweet asking fans how good he was on the day, the comments were overwhelmingly positive ones.
Bit dissapointed Sabri brought him off as he had found his feet properly in the game

He had a beautiful cross that was narrowly missed by grabban. I prefer Johnson to Yates personally and would have liked to see johnson stay on

Agreed

What about you? What did you make of Johnson’s display?
