Here we go then.
In just a few hours’ time, we will know whether or not Nottingham Forest will be competing for promotion to the Premier League in the Championship play-offs this season.
In truth, the equation is simple for Sabri Lamouchi’s side: avoid defeat to Stoke at The City Ground in the final game of the regular tonight, and that top-six spot will be secured.
Indeed, even a defeat could be enough to secure to all-important play-off place, given Forest’s superior goal difference to the other two sides battling them for one of the two remaining play-off places – Cardiff and Swansea.

But having won just four of their last 16 games, Forest are unlikely to be taking anything for granted, and perhaps with that in mind, Lamouchi has named a side that shows _ changes from the one that suffered a late defeat at Barnsley on Sunday, as Matty Cash and Joe Lolley return from injury, while Ryan Yates and Sammy Ameobi also return, with Michael Dawson, Carl Jenkinson, Nuno Da Costa and Tiago Silva all dropping out of the side.
Taking to Twitter to react to that team news, plenty of Forest fans were keen to give their views on their side’s lineup for such an important game, and here, we’ve taken a look at what some of them had to say.

Why isn’t Tiago starting?, No place from carv😞 and it’s nice to see George shelvey get a place on the bench

Bit of effort today lads, yeah? Try to attack at least once, please.

At least Cash and Lolley are back …. Smith did well on Sunday so shouldn’t write him off to early ( I may live to regret that) I think we need to except JC isn’t going to play in the garibaldi again 😞 #COYR

I like carvalho, but tbf: He has been FAR off the few times he’s been given the chanse this season and with Forest still in the mix for promotion (without) him, who can blame Lamouchi for not naming him?

They shouldn’t win a ball all night in midfield. 3 stoppers in there. Not a deal going forward. Lolley and Sammy take the stage.

Ok with that. Only gripe is the midfield 3 again, be nice to have an attack/creative type in there. Not keen on this trio. Let’s see how it goes.
