Nottingham Forest face a huge game in the context of their season on Wednesday night, as they host Swansea City at The City Ground.
With the seventh-placed Swans currently six points behind Forest, who are fifth with three games of the season remaining, Sabri Lamouchi’s side know that victory on Wednesday would secure their place in the play-offs for this season.
But having won just three of their last 12 games, it could be argued that such a result against a strong Swansea team is far from certain.
Should Forest be confident of winning promotion this season?YesNo |
Even so, Forest’s social media team look to be trying to maintain the optimism amongst the club’s fanbase ahead of the game despite that recent run, taking to Twitter to post a quote from captain Ben Watson, with the midfielder claiming there remains a belief within Forest’s dressing room that this can still be a “special season” for the club.
βThere is a belief in the changing room among the players and staff that this can be a special season. We believe that we can achieve that and we have to do the business on Wednesday night now and take each game as it comes.β

That is something that appears to have provoked mixed feeling amongst Forest’s supporters, with some responding to that message with more confidence and positivity than others.
Here, we take a look at what some of those supporters have had to say about those comments from Watson.
I donβt believe we are good enough with the starting line up he keeps putting out!
