It’s a name you might have heard before this season, particularly if you’ve been following Forest long enough to know his dad David Johnson, but it’s almost certainly one you’ve heard of now. He’s already made a bit of an impression so far this season by making a few appearances, and hinting that there may be a few more to come in the future.
Now however, he’s making an impact on the international stage as well as the club one.
He scored on his debut for Wales U21 as they beat their Belgian counterparts 1-0 on Friday night, and it certainly caught the attention of a number of Forest fans. They took to Twitter to congratulate the young man on his accomplishments and hoped that he can bring that goal-scoring touch with him back to the City Ground on a regular basis.
Congratulations Brennan – on a hot streak!!!

So happy for him.
Don’t like to break it to you Johno. The boy will be better than his Dad. He’s going to be special.— John Minkley (@JMINKLEY1) September 6, 2019
It wasn’t just the fans who were paying attention as well, as England boss Gareth Southgate is reportedly interested in bringing him into the England setup. Although, speaking as a Welshman, I politely request that Southgate keep his mitts off him.
