To the club’s credit, this has been one of the best transfer windows in recent memory, and it seems that our expenditure is destined to continue.  Bristol Rovers defender, Tom Lockyer is the latest player to be linked with a move to the City Ground.

As Nottinghamshire Live reports, we’re monitoring the situation of Wales international, Tom Lockyer. It’s reported that we’re considering a move for the Welshman if we’re unable to sign Sam Byram from West Ham United.

Aitor Karanka’s ambition to sign another right-back is well publicised, and the Bristol Rovers captain is seen as an attractive option due to his versatility. The 23-year-old can play at centre-back, too.

Here’s how Forest supporters have responded to the rumours on Twitter.

Verdict:

Lockyer is endowed with great potential, and he demonstrates tremendous leadership qualities. While factoring in his tactical adaptability, he seems to be the complete package. He would be a good signing.
