Despite the plethora of new signings that we’ve completed, we’re continually linked with moves for additional recruits. The speculation linking us with a move for Porto’s José Sá continues to circulate.
As Sport Witness reports, the Porto goalkeeper has been linked with a move to the City Ground for much of the summer. That said, the speculation has intensified following the goalie’s absence from Porto’s pre-season game against Everton.

Verdict:
It’s always essential to seize an opportunity to strengthen the quality of the squad, and following the arrival of Costel Pantilimon, another goalkeeper is hardly a priority. That said, the presence of another goalie would provide the team with greater depth and invaluable competition.
During his time with Porto, Jose Sa has demonstrated his worth as a capable and defender goalkeeper. He is more than qualified to challenge Pantilimon for a starting place in Karanka’s team.
