Supporters hailed Joe Worrall after Nottingham Forest beat Brentford 1-0 on Saturday. The 22-year-old has been outstanding under Sabri Lamouchi and has been a rock at the back alongside Michael Dawson, Tobias Figueiredo & Chema Rodriguez most recently.
Against Brentford, Worrall played a full 90 minutes, won one aerial duel, created one chance, completed 80.7% of his 31 passes, made three interceptions, blocked two shots, made four clearances and assisted Ben Watson’s winning goal.
Lamouchi and his staff are properly coaching this group of players.
At the start of the season Cash, Worrall & Watson weren’t many fans first choices to start games but they have visibly improved as players and have made themselves undroppable. #nffc— Jon (@ididntrealise) October 6, 2019
I don't think Joe Worrall has had a bad game yet this season. I can't remember a single mistake he has made. Only his distribution lets him down sometimes, but everything else is top notch. He wasn't good enough before he went to Rangers, but seems to have developed a lot. #nffc

Worrall could very well be a Premiership player this time next year…with us. He's only 22 so he has plenty of time in the game to achieve all his ambitions. #nffc

The England u21 international has played every minute of every Championship game for Forest this season. Worrall has been on the losing side just once, conceded only nine goals and has kept four clean sheets. He’s won 31 aerial duels (76%), blocked 19 shots/passes/crosses, made 61 clearances and has made 20 tackles & interceptions.
Forest are currently second in the Championship with 22 points from 11 games, having won four of their last five. Only Leeds United (7) have a better defensive record than the Reds this season, but there’s no club with fewer deats (1). Lamouchi’s men have an international break before they face Wigan Athletic on October 20.
