Well done and thanks to forum member City_Ground_Fan, for stepping up and being the first one to answer the questions.

Q – How long have you been following Forest and what got you started?

I could have followed d*arby because most of my family is from there, but my dad managed to hold them off and get me to the mighty reds instead.

Q – What is your most memorable moment as a Forest fan? Good or Bad.

My most memorable moment as a Forest fan was the first ever goal that I saw at a football match.
It was Steve Stone against Coventry if my memory serves me correctly. it was incredible because I was sat in the Trent end next to some really loud fans and they were roaring their heads off! I was sat there with a mixture of fear, sheer excitement and a little bit of confusion coursing through my body. Needless to say it got me hooked.

Q – Since you have been following Forest what would your Best Eleven be? And who is your all time favourite player?

Best eleven. Hmmmmmm. that’s difficult.

GK would probably be Mark Crossley. Although my dad tells me stories of Peter Shilton and I have seen him on ESPN classic making unbelievable saves at point blank range.

RB although he hasn’t played a game in anger yet, I think Brendan Moloney could be the next big player to come from the Forest academy. He has all the attributes apart from experience. One for the future definitely.

CB Michael Dawson. Another product of the academy and what a fantastic defender he is becoming. I think that if Forest hadn’t got relegated we could have kept Michael and stayed there for quite some time.

CB another potential, Luke Chambers. He looked solid since we signed him last January and because he is young he will get better and better.

LB three guesses. Psycho was undoubtedly the best left back ever. nuff said.

RM Davies. If he makes as much of his talent as he can at Forest, he will be a huge success at the City Ground

CM Keane. he was a mad, mental powerhouse of a midfielder and I think Lennon could be in the same line as him.

CM Lewis McGugan. Although young, he could be another one for the future. Huge skill and passion for the game. He is a very bright prospect for Forest and I hope we do not sell him off like we have done with a few of our Academy players.

LM Andy Reid/Kris Commons. Both very, very good left wingers. both are/were instrumental for Forest in their time at the club.

ST Andy Johnson. Such a shame he had to retire from Forest because of his injury. I always liked him and he became kind of a club hero in his time at Forest.

ST although many I’m sure will disagree with me here, Marlon Harewood. I always liked him even though he was lazy at times and I think he made a bad move going from Forest.

Q – What is would you say is the best goal you have seen Forest score?

I cannot really think of the best goal I’ve seen, but the Commons goal from last season was brilliant. He silenced all his critics saying that he had no right foot with that shot. Fantastic. plus he scored another from almost exactly the same spot with his left foot. I was so relieved when he signed a new contract.

Q – Best away ground visited?

I haven’t really been to any away matches, but I’ve been to OT and the atmosphere was immense. 75,000 people signing their hearts out is something else.

.
Q – What are your thoughts on the proposed new stadium?

I was not sure at first about this new stadium. I thought it was just a cynical bit of PR- I know, we’ll say we’re building a super stadium to keep people interested – but now I have warmed to the idea. I think it is a fantastic idea for Forest and it shows either ambition or sheer stupidity towards thinking where Forest will be in a few years.

Q- Are you pleased with the new signings made so far and is there any other player you would have liked to have seen us sign (realistically)?.

I am deliriously happy with the new signings. never in a million years did I think we would get Lennon or any of the others, but I think we missed a chance with Leon Best. Even so, i am not complaining and I have the utmost faith in CC and I believe he is the right man for the job

Q- What are your thoughts on how last season ended and how did it compare to your expectations ?

erm….. devastated. I was lucky enough not to have been there but I heard the result over the radio coming back from RAF Coningsby and I didn’t say anything for 4 hours. I was very, very unhappy at how we threw it away, but I saw now that last season was last season and we should move on and start afresh (with promo hopefully)

Q- Despite the new signings, are there any areas in the side you think need adding to?

I think we are as strong as we are going to get this season in every department apart from up front. we need another striker bearing in mind that we have Tyson out and Agogo to the ACON in December and Dobie coming back to full fitness. Either Sinclair or a young Prem striker on loan would be a good bet for back up because as we found out to our cost last year, too few strikers will show eventually.

Q – Where do you sit at the City Ground?

yes, I sit in the boring BC stand. I sit in R block mainly for the view, but also my dad hates the rowdy fans in places like A block and the Trent end upper. I was going to get a season ticket but it was immensely impractical.
