Forest Fans Keep The Faith

Nottingham Forest look set to match last years total in season tickets sales as they break the 10,000 barrier.

Despite the season ending short of both the clubs’ and the fans expectations, supporters have once again remained faithful and have backed the club.

Forest Chief Executive, Mark Arthur told the official site. ‘We are delighted with the response from our supporters. Ticket sales were slow to start with but, following the signings we have made, there has been a significant rise.’

Great news for the club and also for the diehard fans, as there is nothing worse on match days than watching your football in a ground with no atmosphere.

The new signings have had a positive effect and was something the club needed to do. The mood around the city in the aftermath of the Yeovil debacle did nothing to suggest that fans would renew. Infact many vowed not to, seeing that night as the last straw in terms of supporting the club. But the club have responded in the best way possible with astute signings and ambitious plans for the future. These moves by the club have had a positive effect and seem to have given a new found faith in all things Forest.

The average gate at the City Ground last season was around the 20,000 mark and if they can get off to a good start that could be beaten. Things are certainly looking up and the future sure looks a lot better than it did on that disastrous Friday night back in May.
