Nottingham Forest drew 1-1 with Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday evening and Tobias Figueiredo was one of many players who came away with praise from supporters on social media.
The 25-year-old was making only his first Championship appearance of the season, having previously been an unused substitute, but he performed well on the night and vindicated his selection.
Another solid away performance tonight and a good point to keep us ticking. Thought Worrall and Figueiredo were superb #nffc

Figueiredo filled in for Dawson excellently tonight and Worrall is growing in stature every game. Captain Watson is reborn and both our Samba’s ooze class. Others gave the ball away too cheaply and we rode our luck. Good point in the end. Bring on Brentford! #NFFC

Solid but very very poor on the ball. Not a 1st choice if everyone fit.
With the way we want to play, he needs to improve on the ball. The only words he should be being told are composure, composure, composure. #NFFC

#NFFC performance a bit flat and tired at times but again found something when it looked lost. Cracking strike by Lolley.
Felt Figueiredo slotted in well and Worrall and Samba were fantastic towards the end.
Still in the mix 👍

Against Blackburn, Figueiredo played a full 90 minutes, made 52 touches, won five aerial duels, made one interception, completed 61.5% of his 39 passes, made one successful dribble and made 10 clearances.
The Portugal B international came in for the injured Michael Dawson and started alongside Joe Worrall – Chema Rodriguez was named on the bench while Alexander Milosevic failed to make the matchday squad.
Figueiredo has had to be patient for opportunities under Sabri Lamouchi – before Tuesday’s game, he’d only featured in the EFL Cup this season. The central defender was a regular in 2018/19, but Dawson and Worrall have been solid.
Only five clubs have a better defensive record than Forest in the Championship (9). The Reds are also unbeaten in their last nine games and have conceded one or less goals in eight of them.
As Dawson is likely to be out against Brentford on October 5, Figueiredo could start alongside Worrall once more.
