Despite not scoring a goal for the second consecutive league game, some supporters were pleased with Lewis Grabban’s contribution in Nottingham Forest’s 0-0 draw with Derby County. The 30-year-old has been in fine scoring form this season, netting twice in a 2-0 win over Ipswich at the start of the month, but he’s fired blanks in midweek and was hooked off for Daryl Murphy late on.

Grabban has scored 14 goals in 21 Championship appearances for Forest since his summer switch from Bournemouth and he’ll be hoping to continue adding to his tally when Queens Park Rangers come to the City Ground on December 22. The Forest centre-forward failed to even register a shot against Preston but had three efforts at goal against Derby and hit the target on two occasions.

Forest are currently seventh in the Championship with 35 points from 22 games this season, one place and one point off the playoffs. Aitor Karanka’s men are coming off the back of having failed to win three of their last four outings, but they’ll fancy their chances at home to QPR. Grabban remains top of the Championship scoring charts and will hope that stays in gameweek 23.
