Nottingham Forest played out a goalless draw in the East midlands derby against Derby County and some fans were full of praise for Jack Colback and Claudio Yacob’s performance despite the result. Aitor Karanka’s men bounced back from their home defeat to Preston North End with a clean sheet against the Rams and the resilient midfield duo were partly to thank.
Colback made three tackles and three interceptions at the iPro Stadium, in addition to completing 85% of his passes and winning two fouls. He formed a potent partnership with Yacob on the night, with the Argentine international making three tackles and three clearances. Yacob had a shot, created one chance and won five aerial duels.
Colback and Yacob were immense tonight, particularly Colback. It's the simple things in football and we always looked in shape #nffc

Would have took a point before the game all day long, but not gonna lie bit disappointed we didn't come away with the points with the chances we had. Thought Yacob, colback and Janko were brilliant tonight #nffc

Apart from a 15 minute spell in the first half we’ve completed dominated.

Supporters were clearly delighted with the pair’s collective performance and felt they helped keep Derby at bay to help secure Forest a point on the road. Colback has been a regular since re-joining on loan from Newcastle, making 19 Championship appearances this season. Yacob has made six appearances since joining the club on a free transfer in September.
Next up for Forest is a home meeting with Queens Park Rangers on December 22. A win could see them move into the playoffs.
