I think this is a pretty emphatic response to the situation.
With football currently at a standstill, there has been plenty of talk about what will happen to the clubs at the top of the Championship, and perhaps more importantly who is going to be coming down from the Premier League.
Nottingham Forest find ourselves in a bit of a tricky situation, whilst we are a considerable distance away from the top two, with a gap of 10 points, with nine games to go, it’s still not inconceivable that we might be able to catch the likes of Leeds and West Brom in the automatic promotion spots.
Will this season actually get finished?
Yes
No
So when @CityGroundHQ posed the question on Twitter if those two should go up if the season were ‘cancelled’ they were met with only one answer, although said many different times.
Naw

Probably not but what are the other options??

Nope both more than capable of occasional loss so plenty to play for yet!

The season should be played in full to a conclusion, or null and void. No giving away promotion, does the same happen then with relegation? Can't have it just 1way.

Promotion is earned over a season. It not given just because they are in top 2. May as well stick balls in a bag. And give every one a chance

Definitely not they can both be caught. If it's cancelled null and void it for everyone

I just wonder if it would have been the same if Nottingham Forest didn’t have a vested interest in the matter, say if they were comfortably mid-table? I guess we’ll never know.
