Who knows how important this save could have been in the grand scheme of things.
Yes, we went on to win the game somewhat comfortably, but if we’d have gone behind that day, who knows if things would have played out in our favour. That’s why the club decided to dedicate the ‘Save Of The Day’ to a pretty special, and very important stop by Jordan Smith from the final day of the 2016-17 season.
Smith’s save is even more impressive when you consider the fact that the initial shot was deflected making it even harder for the young man.

As I previously said, it was a very pivotal moment on the day, in the season, and you can even make an argument in our entire history, so when the club put footage of the moment up on social media, it’s no wonder that the Forest fans flocked to comment on the moment, with many of them talking about the significance of the save as much as the brilliance of it.
