Nottingham Forest manager Sabri Lamouchi says his side need one more win from their remaining three games of the regular season, to guarantee themselves a place in the play-offs at the end of the campaign.

Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Preston at Deepdale means Forest currently sit fifth in the Championship table on 69 points, six points clear of Swansea – who play league leaders Leeds at The Liberty Stadium on Sunday – in seventh.

Forest face Swansea at The City Ground on Wednesday night, and Lamouchi feels that victory in that game would guarantee them a shot at promotion via the play-offs come the end of the campaign.

on following the Preston game, Lamouchi said: “Maybe if the result is good for us tomorrow, between Swansea and Leeds, a victory over Swansea on Wednesday might be enough. But I don’t know, we will see.

Going into more detail about the targets he has set his side this season, Lamouchi continued: “We just need to win again. I am looking for 20 victories in one year, like 20 goals for Lewis Grabban. He has got 20 goals and the manager wants 20 victories for this year!”

Following that clash with Swansea in midweek, Forest travel to Oakwell to face Barnsley next Saturday, before ending the regular season at home to Stoke the following midweek.

With both Barnsley and Stoke currently struggling at the wrong end of the table, it could be argued that both those games are winnable for Forest, meaning they still ought to be in a strong position to secure a top-six spot this season, even if things do not exactly go to plan against Swansea.
