While Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Preston may have been something of an anti-climax for some of a Forest persuasion, for Tendayi Darikwa, it was a big step forward.
Having struggled with a serious knee injury throughout the course of the campaign, Darikwa made another big step on his road to recovery at Deepdale, as he was named in Forest’s matchday squad for the first time this season by manager Sabri Lamouchi.
Although the defender ultimately missed out on the chance to get out on the pitch in Lancashire, it certainly seems as though it didn’t stop him from enjoying the sensation of being back in a team on game-day.
Should Tendayi Darikwa feature before the end of the season?YesNo |
Taking to Twitter after the match, spoke of his happiness at this latest step forward in his progress towards a return to action.
Good point on the road today 💪🏽. Delighted to be back involved, thanks everyone for the messages 😀🔴

The sight of Darikwa being back around the squad also appears to have been a welcome one for many Forest fans, judging by their reaction to the defender’s post.
Here, we take a look at some of them had to say.
