Burnley have not made an offer to sign Nottingham Forest full-back Matty Cash, a report from Lancashire Live has revealed.

It has been suggested recently that Sean Dyche’s side are one of those keen to bring Cash to the Premier League for next season, although it seems that may no longer be the case.

According to the latest reports, the Clarets have yet to make an approach to Forest about the possibility of bringing Cash to Turf Moor for next season.

As a result, it is currently thought that Burnley are not in the running to secure the services of the versatile defender this summer.

That however, does not mean that Forest are not under pressure when it comes to transfer interest in the 23-year-old.

It was reported at the weekend that Sheffield United have seen a £10million bid for Cash rejected, with Forest said to be holding out for a fee closer to the £15million mark.

Two more of Burnley’s Premier League rivals, Southampton and West Ham, have also been credited with an interest in moving for Cash in recent weeks.

Do you expect Cash to be at Forest next season?

No

This therefore, is likely to be hugely frustrating for Forest.

With the pressure on them that there is from those other Premier League clubs, the fact that Burnley are not currently plotting a move for Cash is unlikely to provide any sort of relief for those around The City Ground.

Indeed, you feel Forest would probably rather have this saga over and done with one way another as soon as possible, so that they can start to put their plans in place for the coming campaign, with the knowledge of whether or not they will be able to call on one of their key men in the shape of Cash.
