He’s not willing to let him go just yet.

But at least he’s getting plans in place just in case things do end up going against him. Which means there might be some movement in the pipelines, we’ll just have to wait and see.

Sabri Lamouchi has hinted in the past that he might be willing to consider recalling on-loan forward Tyler Walker from his spell at Lincoln City as a way of bringing in backup for Lewis Grabban. And whilst there has been no concrete news either way regarding whether or not the Frenchman will make the decision, Walker’s boss at Lincoln Michael Appleton has hinted that it indeed might be the case.

Speaking to Lincolnshire Live, Appleton talked about a number of his loan players and what their future’s hold as the transfer window draws towards its conclusion:

“There’s still deadlines on them in terms of whether they could potentially go. “But we have been working hard with the [parent] clubs to get them to give us as much time as they possibly can if they’re thinking about doing it [recalling them]. With one of them we should know by Monday. With another we should know by Wednesday. We have people in mind that we could bring in if that’s the case.”

So it looks as if we’ll know sooner rather than later whether or not we’ll be seeing Walker back at the City Ground this season, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled over the next couple of days because it could hold very significant news for the future of the 23-year-old forward, as well as the rest of the Nottingham Forest team.

Should the club recall Tyler Walker this window?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Although hopefully we are the team that gave the Monday deadline, because it gives him that extra couple of days to get adjusted to being with the first-team before we throw him in at the deep end as it were.
