French midfielder Guy Moussi will be out of contract at Nottingham Forest on Friday and he wont be short of offers from other clubs’ vying for his signature.

Wigan, Everton and West Brom are widely reported to be interested and will be ready to pounce, if the 26 year old fails to agree a new deal with the Reds’.

Everton were looking hot favourites to land Moussi, but Steve McClaren has made a last ditch attempt to persuade him to stay at the City Ground and flew to France on Monday for a face to face meeting with the player and his agent.

It’s understood that McClaren will be able to make an improved offer to the one he supposedly turned down with Forest at Christmas, as he sees the midfielder as an integral part of his squad for next year. Hopefully the manager can persuade him that his future lies at the City Ground.
