You know the saying how it’s not over until the fat lady sings?
Whilst you may not know where it came from (in case you were wondering, here’s a handy definition), I’m sure you know what it means. Well it turns out that the fat lady was still warming up her lungs last night as Forest completed their final signing of the window John Bostock. That is of course unless they’ve got another one lined up for us that they’re still doing the paperwork on.
Bostock joins on a year-long loan move from French club Toulouse, and having spent a lot of his career bouncing around a number of clubs, I think he officially qualifies as a ‘journeyman’ at this stage, don’t you?
He’s going to have to do an awful lot to force his way into the first team this season, as the club have already made a number of signings in the middle of the park, most notably Alfa Semedo & Tiago Silva.
So how did Forest fans react to the news that they had got yet another midfielder through the door at the City Ground? Well, they seemed to be split into two groups, those who were delighted to see him come through the door, and those who were concerned about the size of the squad.

Madness. Our squad is beyond a joke. Hope he works out. But we didn’t need 12. We sign a new team every window. It’s ridiculous and a part of why we keep failing.
