Tendayi Darikwa continues to go from strength to strength at Nottingham Forest in the Championship season of 2018/19 and he put in another strong showing against Stoke City last Saturday.
The 26-year-old is closing in on his 50th club appearance following his arrival from Burnley in the summer of 2017 and he has 13 appearances to his name this year, but he has seen game time somewhat limited with manager Aitor Karanka bringing in Sam Byram and Saidy Janko over the window, but recent performances are more making the spot his own.
As I covered the other day –
Unexpected Man Of The Match For Forest Following Stoke Clash
Whoscored.com gave him their top rating for the game following his performance at both ends of the pitch, and these Forest fans were more than happy to shower him with some praise following the game.
Karanka’s really got the best out of him … clearly a confidence player (& very good when his self belief is high) ????????????

Aitor Karanka is turning Tendayi Darikwa into peak-2002 Cafu and there’s nothing you can do about it ???????????????? #nffc

Clearer chances, we should have won! That said, Daws, Fig & Darikwa we’re awesome! Put bodies on line to keep them out! Some outstanding blocks & last ditch tackles. Darikwa in particular, well deserved MotM. Guedi also put in a shift, got battered from pillar to post! #nffc

Unbeaten in four now in the second tier against a tricky Stoke City side, take the positives and move on as had it not been for Jack Butland it could well have been a different result, although some don’t see it that way.
