Out of favour Nottingham Forest midfielder Jonathan Greening, has joined Championship rivals Barnsley on a one month emergency loan deal.

Greening becomes the second Forest player in the past week to sign up with the Tykes, joining striker Marcus Tudgay. Some might say we’re becoming a feeder club for the Yorkshire boys!

The 33 year old has been limited to just 3 appearances for the Reds’ so far this campaign and has only made 36 in total since signing from WBA at the beginning of last season, under former boss Steve McClaren.

According to the Forest official site, the deal expires on January 2. Greening still has a year and a half left on his current City Ground deal.
