With the January transfer window fast approaching, Nottingham Forest are currently being linked with a host of players, including Norwich City striker Steve Morison, Spurs keeper Heurelho da Silva Gomes and Derry City winger Stephen McLaughlin.

The Telegraph ran a story today, once again linking the Reds’ with a move for out of favour Norwich striker Steve Morison. The former Millwall front man was a Forest target just before he joined the Canaries in 2011, but the £2m asking fee by the Lions put the Reds’ off and he signed for Norwich instead for an undisclosed fee.

Several sources are saying that if Lee Camp fails to agree a new contract at the City Ground, then the Reds’ will make a move for 4th choice Spurs keeper Heurelho da Silva Gomes. The Brazilian has been at White Hart Lane since 2008 and was signed for a reported fee of £7.8m from Dutch club PSV Eindhoven.

With most Forest fans agreeing that a lack of width is the vital ingredient missing from Sean O’Driscoll’s squad, it should come as no surprise that we’re being linked with a winger. The winger in question at this moment in time is Stephen McLaughlin, who plays for Northern Ireland’s Derry City. He apparently operates on either flank and has been catching the eye of several English clubs.
