Talk about a double boost to start the week off.
Not only are we now into the final stretch before we get games back, but it looks as if games arenβt the only things that are going to be making an appearance for the first time in a long time.
Having spent the whole of the season on the injury table with an ACL injury, Tendayi Darikwa was seen in a Nottingham Forest shirt for the first time since March of 2019 as he took part in an inter-squad game at the City Ground the other day.
The club posted this photo of him and academy graduate Alex Mighten (who’s only played three times this season in all competitions) in action against one another, it was certainly an image that brightened up a lot of Forest fans on social media.
Should young/reserve players be given more minutes in the final run in?
Yes
No
Iβve written before about how young players at the club could prove incredibly useful during the hectic run in, but that point can also be extended to the lesser seen players like Darikwa, so letβs see if this photo is merely a preview of something yet to come.
Mighten played for both teams then… sneaky, I like it! #NFFC
