Further Injury Blows

Forest suffered the blow of an injury to Paul Anderson during the Norwich draw, which could keep him out for a while? Garath McCleary is also faced with ‘potentially’ several months out.

Anderson, as Davies told The Nottingham Post, damaged medial ligaments in the 1-1 draw. This will need further assessment before the full extent of the injury is known: ‘Paul has medial ligament damage, which is not good.’

McCleary will have an injection in his knee, if there is not positive reaction to this then surgery is the likely option and that ‘could’ keep him out for up to 4-months: ‘We also had the big blow of missing Garath as well.

‘He has tendonitis. He will have an injection in his knee and, if that does not work, he has to have an operation which could keep him out for four months.

‘We will see the extent of the damage in the next few days. Hopefully it will not be too serious. But with this type of injury, it can be.’

With a small squad as it is further injury setbacks are the last thing Forest need!
