Liam Bridcutt joined Bolton Wanderers on a short-term loan over the summer while Daryl Murphy signed a one-year deal at the Macron Stadium, but how have the pair fared in League One so far?
Bridcutt has taken to life at Bolton like a duck to water. The 30-year-old has made four appearances for the Wanderers and has captained the side in every outing.
He was surplus to requirements at Nottingham Forest and resigned to playing reserve-team football, but Bridcutt has been proving his worth at Bolton while sending a message to Sabri Lamouchi in the process.
As per WhoScored, the Scotland international has created three chances, won 14 aerial duels (78%), made eight successful dribbles (89%), averaged 62.8 passes-per-game and averaged a tackle (23) or interception (9) every 11 minutes.
As for Murphy, the 36-year-old recently returned from injury and has only made one appearance for Bolton as a result – he picked up a full 90 minutes against Portsmouth.
The Trotters are currently 23rd in the League One with -9 points from nine games. They yet to win a match this season and have shipped 25 goals already. Nevertheless, Bolton face Blackpool on Monday, October 7 and will hope to get a positive result.
