With news late last night of Nottingham Forest’s double capture of Mustapha Carayol and Nicolao Dumitru, head coach Phillipe Montanier has added Portuguese winger Lica to our ranks today as well.

With the duo dealt with earlier, they have now been officially confirmed by the club.

Known as Lica, Luis Carlos Pereira Carneiro joined former Champions League winners FC Porto back in 2013 from Estoril having impressed and helped them to promotion to the top flight, and finishing fifth in their second season, qualifying for the Europa League at the end of the 2012/13 season.

Whilst with Porto, the 27 year old has also spent the last two seasons out on loan with Spanish side Rayo Vallecano and Portuguese side Vitoria de Guimaraes.

He comes to the City Ground on a two year deal and I’m guessing asa free agent.

Young forward Tyler Walker will also continue his development having secured a loan spell with League Two side Stevenage today.

Making his senior debut in the two nil victory over Rotherham in March 2015, he scored his maiden goal away to Brentford later that season, and having spent time last year with Burton Albion, he links up with Stevenage for the remainder of the 2016/17 campaign.

It’s hoped Lica will fill the gap left by Oliver Burke following his reported £13million switch to RB Leipzig.
