Debate: Sabri Lamouchi faces a crucial dilemma. What would you do in his shoes?

|

I’m really struggling with this one.

All the available options make sense, so I’m going to let you guys figure it out. Seems more fun that way.

With Sabri Lamouchi saying that captain Michael Dawson could be sidelined for some time having injured his calf in the victory over Stoke City, there’s set to be a bit of a fight to see who is going to partner Joe Worrall for the upcoming game against Brentford, and potentially beyond.

I have made my case for Chema, predominantly because I want to see what he can produce sooner rather than later. I have also suggested that Alexander Milosevic still has the potential to make a run at the first team. And it’s clear from his inclusion against Blackburn Rovers that Tobias Figueiredo is certainly a contender to be a partner for Worrall. Three men fighting for one spot. I wasn’t good at maths, but even I know that you can’t make that work, something has got to give.

This debate also isn’t so much just restricted to this weekend’s game against Brentford. If the MRI results come back worse than we expected, we could be looking for a new partner for Joe Worrall for the next couple of weeks, or even months.

Whether or not the new partner will be able to form as good a duo in the eyes of the fans as Worrall and Dawson did, but I suppose we won’t know until we try, starting with Brentford this Saturday. Forest’s defence has been OK so far this season, but not the greatest. Could it be that in fact the Worrall and Dawson partnership has been holding the club back? There’s one for all you tin hat conspiracy theorists out there.

So now I pass the baton to you.

Who do you think should be Joe Worrall’s partner for the foreseeable future? Should it be one of these three? Should it be none of them? Or would you prefer to give them all a go on a rotational basis?
