Cohen signed from Yeovil in the summer amidst much anticipation from supporters. When he signed, he had just had an operation to repair a groin injury and has so far played no part for the Reds, except for a brief spell in a pre season friendly.

His injury goes back to last season whilst at Yeovil and played through the pain barrier for the final stages of the campaign. He signed back in June along with fellow Glover Arron Davies and is thought of as one of the best players in League 1.

The game today was a friendly against York and the 20 year old lasted 75mins as well as scoring in the 3-2 win. The official site says that so long as he doesn’t have any adverse reaction, he should play in the reserves next week against Huddersfield.

  • You’ve got a good player in Cohen, we had high hopes for him at West Ham and I expect him to be playing higher up in the Football League in the near future, be it with you lot or someone else

  • I hope it’s with us Henry. I think he’ll be one of our better signings when we eventually get to play him.
