Another Nottingham Forest player will miss Hull City clash ‘through injury’

|

Michael Dawson is ‘still sidelined’ with a calf injury and Nottingham Forest have confirmed that Samba Sow will miss Wednesday’s meeting with Hull City ‘through injury’ too.

The 30-year-old picked up a hamstring injury against Brentford (October 5) and was out of action throughout the international break. Sow missed Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Wigan Athletic too.

In his absence, Sabri Lamouchi has Ben Watson, John Bostock and Ryan Yates to call upon in midfield. Sow will be a big loss. Forest have dropped points in all three games that the Mali international has missed.

The Reds lost 2-1 to West Bromwich Albion (August 3), drew 1-1 with Charlton Athletic (August 21) and lost at Wigan (October 20). With Sow on the pitch (nine Championship appearances), Forest have picked six wins and three draws while conceding only six goals.

Lamouchi’s men will have to make do without him against Hull, however, but the Tigers’ recent form might give Forest hope of returning to winning ways. City are 13 places & nine points worse off in the table and have failed to win three of their last four games.
